MAN POWER, Rosie, and Neil Diablo
Saturday, 16th August 2025
By mid -August, it was widely believed that time was running out… for All Nite Pawn and the Mall in its entirety.
A high percentage of units already stood empty...
Shutters coming down, one by one.
All Nite Pawn was scheduled to close alongside it in September...
The Brokers decided a fire sale was needed, STAT
Calls were made to their good friends, Man Power, Rosie and Neil Diablo.
It was time to get the Geordies down.

For this occasion, a number of high- value operators were brought in express delivery from Tyneside to combine with a Mancunian stalwart….

Man Power is the driving force involved in something not entirely dissimilar to All Nite Pawn, but up in North Shields. A former bingo hall, reactivated as King Street Social Club. A space built around the same basic idea:...
…that all local community spaces have value, even when much of society have written them off
…and that...
music, when placed carefully, can bring people back into them, meaningfully
The proven setup at All Nite Pawn remained unchanged.
A small pawnshop. Music behind the counter. No clear distinction between who was working and who had just walked in.
But the feeling in the room had shifted.
People stayed late.
Looked around longer.
Took it all in...
... for what could very well have been the last time.
At one point, three generations of the same family stood together on the dance floor. A grandfather and grandson clinked cans, while the grandson’s mum took a photo of them both... marking one of his first legal alcoholic) drinks, just ahead of his 18th birthday.
…A small moment.
But not an unusual one, at All NITE PAWN.
By the end of the night, it felt like everything had been used properly.
Not just the space, but what it was capable of holding and exchanging...
Was this to be the end...
